Late French Hose
French Hose of the 1580s and 1590s became very short, worn almost or at crotch level. Our Short French Hose have a 1/2" to 1" inseam, with narrower panes and a more conical shape, achieved through small, stuffed rolls at the bottom of the legbands.

Made of silk dupioni (panes), silk charmeuse (visible lining), cotton drill and broadcloth or muslin linings, and nylon netting as stuffing. All seams are finished. Minimal machine stitching may be visible at the waistband.
