| Gentleman's Linen Shirt with a Falling Collar |
| This shirt is based upon extant shirts of the late sixteenth century. Each shirt has a front opening with a falling collar, straight band cuffs, underarm gussets and side slits for room. It is made of white handkerchief weight linen, with linen cloth ties at the collar and cuffs. Internal seams are finished, either as Bound or French seams, and there is minimal visible stitching externally. |
|
| Bands of blackwork embroidery by Lady Maerwynn Renascence Flair are also available for the collar and cuffs, in a geometric pattern taken from a shirt in the Museo del Tessuto, Prato. |
