French Hose with Canions
As French Hose rose in length, Canions were introduced to cover the gap between the French Hose and the Netherstock worn on the lower leg. Many extant breeches have integrated the Canions into the breeches and ours follows suit.

These French Hose are mid-thigh in length, with Canions at the bottom that extend the length of the breeches to knee-length. They have wider panes and a rounder shape.

Made of silk dupioni (panes and Canions), silk charmeuse (visible lining), cotton drill and broadcloth or muslin linings, and nylon netting as stuffing. All seams are finished. Minimal machine stitching may be visible at the waistband.
