Surcoat
Suroats and gowns were worn by men throughout the sixteenth century. Our Surcoat is based upon the surcoat of the 1550s and 1560s, pleated into a yoke in the back, mid-thigh in length, with a straight collar and full, short sleeves.

Made of silk dupioni with cotton broadcloth and drill linings and nylon netting as stuffing. Minimal machine stitching may be visible at the sleeve bands and collar. 48" in length.
